Rick Canady has over 45 years of Healthcare experience and is currently the CEO of Wellspire Medical Group. Mr. Canady was previously the CEO of Houston Eye Associates, the largest ophthalmology practice in the nation. Under Mr. Canady’s 16 years of leadership they grew to a group of 75 eye doctors, 647 employees and 29 locations. Previously he held positions as the CFO at St. Vincent Healthcare System in Little Rock, AR, a 1,000 bed hospital system and CFO at Baptist Healthcare System in Beaumont, TX. Mr. Canady was also the VP of Finance in the Central Division of AMI, a Fortune 500 company, and has previously served as the President of the Gulf Coast MGMA.
Mario Chiock has over 37 years of experience in Oil Field operations, IT, Security, Risk, Privacy and Auditing. Prior to his current role as Schlumberger Fellow, Mario was the CISO at Schlumberger where he was responsible for developing the company’s worldwide, long-term cyber security strategy. He is recognized for his leadership and management in all aspects of cybersecurity throughout the company as well as within the community. Mario was recognized as one of the top 25 out of more than 10,000 security executives in the ExecRank 2013 Security Executive Rankings, he also won the 2012 Central Information Security Executive (ISE) “People Choice Award”, in 2014 he is a recipient of the CSO40 – 2014 award, named “ISSA Fellow”, won ISC2 Americas Information Security Leadership Awards (ISLA) and won the “ISSA Honor Roll” award. In 2017 he received the InfraGard Houston award of excellence for the Private-Public Partnership in Cybersecurity. Mario has a CISSP, CISM & CISA Certifications, and is past chair for the American Petroleum Institute Information (API) Security Sub-Committee and was involved in the formation of the Oil & Gas ISAC.

Brian Harrell currently serves as the Vice President and Chief Security Officer (CSO) at AVANGRID, an energy company with assets and operations in 24 states. He is responsible for the company’s physical & cybersecurity, privacy, security compliance, and fire protection departments. In 2018, Brian was appointed by the President of the United States to serve as the sixth Assistant Secretary for Infrastructure Protection at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He was also the first Assistant Director for Infrastructure Security at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). He has spent time during his career in the US Marine Corps and various private sector agencies with the goal of protecting the United States from security threats.

Currently, BD is a Partner and Investment Adviser Representative with Financial Advisory Service, Inc. (“FAS”) where he is involved in investment analysis, financial planning, marketing, and new business development. BD has a B.S in Accounting and Finance and a MAcc from Kansas State University. He serves on the Board of Directors for a number of companies, including a Kansas based bank and lives in Kansas with his wife, 2 daughters, and son. BD is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys water skiing, snow skiing, running and biking with family and friends.
Jamila Piracci has over two decades of experience as a financial services professional. She started her career as an attorney for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where she observed and worked with the financial services industry from a perch that gave her a wide vantage point. With over a decade as outside counsel in structured derivatives and as a lawyer for the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, Jamila coordinated market participant solutions to issues ranging from operational challenges involved in novations to auction methodologies for credit default swaps. In 2011, she was asked to create the regulatory program at the National Futures Association that remains responsible for the oversight of swap dealers under the Dodd-Frank Act. After eight years building and leading the program, Jamila left NFA to relocate with her family from the New York City area to the Houston area. Upon her departure, she began providing regulatory strategy and compliance solutions to market participants. In addition to her client work, Jamila serves on the Boards of the Futures Industry Association, SwapEx, LLC, and DevvStream, Inc. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of Hidden Road Partners and a Senior Fellow for Life:Powered. Jamila received her JD and MBA from Cornell University and her AB from Harvard University.

Becky Thomas, is the Chief Operating Officer of i2k Connect. Ms. Thomas’ career spans 25 plus years focused on Information Technology and Innovation. Ms. Thomas has shared her business, sales and marketing leadership with various companies including Bauguss Consulting, Compucom Systems, Meridio, Active Navigation and Gimmal Software. She is the former CEO of BizDev Strategy Consulting where she provided her expertise to startup companies from inception to exit. Ms. Thomas volunteers in the community with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Dress for Success, and Mentoring Others. She has served on various boards and Committees at the local and national level with Association for Women in Computing, ARMA, and Greater Houston Partnership. Ms. Thomas graduated from University of Phoenix with Honors with a BS in Business Management. In her spare time, Ms. Thomas enjoys her children, grandchildren, traveling, scuba diving and photography.
